In January this year, the Year 6 pupils took part in a Covestro-sponsored National Geographic Kids Competition called ‘All About Plastic’. Teachers throughout the country were asked to teach their pupils about the problems of single-use plastic, and then to ask their pupils to create a poster that offered advice and solutions to combat this global problem. The competition was fierce, however the poster created by two of our pupils was chosen as runner-up. Their work, pictured below, was described as ‘BRILLIANT!’ and we were told that they had just missed out. Their runner-up prize was a £20 Amazon Voucher which was used to buy eco-friendly resources for their classroom.
