“Redcliffe staff have done invaluable work with our daughter and we cannot thank you enough for the way they have all seen her as an individual and brought out so much in her. You have some exceptional staff and I feel we feel our children have been so lucky for the opportunities they have been given at Redcliffe and how it has equipped them for the next stage of their adventures.”
The role of the Parents Committee is primarily to further the interests of Redcliffe School. It strives to help parents and children settle into life at Redcliffe and ensure everyone is welcomed to the school community.
The Parents Committee is open to any parent who would like to offer their time, has a particular skill or fundraising and social event ideas. We welcome everyone – both mums and dads!
The Parents Committee serves two main functions:
Fund Raising: We organise various social events for the children, parents and staff throughout the year. During the Autumn Term we organise a Christmas Fair, there is a School Disco in the Spring Term and in the Summer Term there is a Drinks Party for parents, staff and governors.
The Christmas Fair and Drinks Party, as well as being social events, are our main fundraising events. Conversely, the Disco is a fun event held for children and hosted and funded through the Parents Committee.
Home School Liaison: Parents Committee members are here to assist parents with the general aspects of school life as well as the social side of being part of a school community.
Each class has one or two Parents Committee representatives who are responsible for organising class coffee mornings, keeping parents up to date on the Parents Committee activities, arranging cards and gifts for teachers at Christmas time and at the end of the school year, and generally being a central point of contact for communications.
